Campbell Scientific are proud to announce their support and
sponsorship of Variable4, a musical art installation taking place in
Dungeness, Kent in May. Artists and composers Daniel Jones and James
Bully will be using the output of a Campbell weather station to create
unique patterns of specially composed pieces. Changes in wind speed,
wind direction, solar radiation, air temperature, relative humidity
and rainfall will create unique mixtures over a 24 hour period. Seehttp://www.variable4.org.uk/for further details of the project andhttp://www.campbellsci.co.uk/index.cfm?id=1067for details of the
station they are using.
I went to an exhibition of something like this in Liverpool once. The
organisers set up sound systems to link to stuff that reacted to the
people visiting. It was absolutely spellbinding.
I would urge everyone who can to go and take as many friends as they
can convince with them.
