Watched it live from Hawaii on Sky news for an hour. The commentator assured
us that it had happened, but I was damned if I could tell which of the
regular breakers it was. All a bit of an anti-climax there, though I
understand Easter Island and New Zealand fared a bit worse.


I imagine it isn't wave height but the volume surging. I believe the
art of the science is far from developed.
