After a stunning few days of true winter sunshine it now looks as though
our HP is going to pick up some cloud and return to *the grey cold variety
that has dogged this winter here.

Indeed. It is rare though for highs not to do this, as all it takes is less
cold and more moist air to come round the top and there you go. We would be
fortunate indeed to stay in the crisp dry very cold air as we have a
maritime climate with seas all around us.

PS happy birthday from last week old man :-)

No cloud; though it was forecast to reach us and I was expecting to
wake up to not seeing the sun rise over the sea this morning. The
forecasters always have difficulty in judging the extent of cloud in
an anticyclone and it has not pushed as far west as expected today.
Quite a few will be waking up to some unexpected sunshine, I would
think.

Another sparkling, superb morning here, but still that rascally force
2/3 easterly to keep the temperatures down. A touch of frost on the
cars earlier, but temperatures are rising quickly now. 6C at 0900.
Warm enough to repair the verges on my gable. Ooooerrrr!

Vertigo Paul.
