Sunny right from the start and this lasted through to the mid-afternoon then
cloud (remember them) moved in from the east and put the lid on what was
another gloriously sunny and increasingly warmer day.
A max of 9.5°C after an overnight minimum of 1.1°C, the first night without
a frost since the 4th. Despite the cloud later today there was 7.2 hours of
sunshine and this brings the total up to 72.4 hours. More sunshine in the
first 8 days of this month than for the whole of February.
That wind, though still cool has lost that 'edge' it had yesterday and
correspondingly the sun felt much warmer. Whilst onsite today there were
little dust-devils blowing around. All the silt/mud etc that washed off the
fields onto the roads in February has now turned to dust and is being blown
around in the wind. Not good when you get that in your eyes.
DP has now managed to climb above freezing - it's a miracle!
No rainfall recorded so far this month.
(19:00), 6.1°C, RH 56%, DP 0.3°C, 1030 hPa (S), Wind 4 mph N.
