Yes, I found one in the woods near Henley-on-Thames many years ago -
took it home and opened it up. It had a small lead-acid battery which I
promptly recharged using the car battery charger. I got the large
rotary switch inside to work again, but I don't know if it transmitted
any data, as I didn't know the right frequency. Probably broke some law
along the way! I didn't see any thermionic valves on the circuit board
so it must have been transistorized. A small notice on it said there
was no reward for its return so I finally tossed it.
