This is a very very serious and life-threatening situation. Power cuts are
likely, trees could come down and roads will be blocked by severe blizzards,
possibly for days.

Warm air overriding cold in a slow moving front with in-situ cooling and
stronng east winds ahead of the system - a classic severe blizzard set-up.
Also watch for something coming down the western side of Britain tonight
into Wales and the SW.

The great blizzard of 2010 could soon be upon us.

All part and parcel of the cold and wet Spring on offer!
