Overnight min (Thu/Fri) was +0.8C in Romsey with our first
visible ground frost of the autumn. Despite this, our roses
are still blooming nicely a day later (Sat). Could they be a
new type of frost-resistant rose?
Gardening hat on!
A ground frost shouldn't harm plants flowering as high on the stem as
roses do - we have 3 rose plants blooming well here in Warwickshire,
even after grass mins of -3.3C in October - they seem to be surviving
the damp too!
