For those who have got external wireless temperature sensors etc that require AAA batteries, Energizer Lithium ones are now
available from USA. (Not available in Europe till sometime next year)
The advantage of lithium is that they perform well down to -40C, whereas performance of ordinary batteries can drop dramatically
below -5C. Shelf life is about 10 years
They cost about £5 for a pack of 4. Air freight charge is also about a fiver.
I've just ordered a few packs for myself and Alan Duckers who has a few of these sensors. That's it now, I can guarantee the
mildest winter on record.
