You are refering to Whit Sunday 27th May 2007 I presume, when we had a
maximum of 9.6C and 22.6mm of rain - coming so latein the month, that
must have been a miserable day!

That would have been the one. ISTR that some SE stations had maxima
several degrees lower even that that.
