Yet another cool day after a c-c-c-c-cold night. Very sunny on the coast
today but here at just a few miles inland the cloud built up a little this
afternoon, but not as much as further inland where there were some beefy
showers.
A max of 14.5°C after a min of only 0.2°C. We have managed to escape an air
frost here this month but there have been 3 grass frosts so far.
Only 8.6 mm of rain so far this month and everything is very dry.
Cold nights in May and even into June occurred in 2006, with just 2.4°C
being recorded on the 1st June, though that day ended up being warm with a
max of 24.6°C, that's a diurnal range of 22.2°C and quite unusual for this
location.
It didn't take long for the real warmth to arrive and June & July 2006 ended
up being very hot indeed, so there's hope for this summer even after this
current spell of cold nights.
(19:50), 10.4°C, RH 68%, DP 4.6°C, 1012 hPa (F), Wind 8 mph S.
