The maximum temperature on Sunday 23rd May was 28.0C and with a
minimum of just 4.9C the range of temperature in the Chipstead Valley,
Surrey,was 23.1C. However on June 1st 1994 the max was 25.2C and min
minus 0.1C. On April 16th 2003 an even greater range was measured with
a max of 26.7C and min of -0.4C. It is just possible the frosts may
return here later this week. The minimum has been down to minus 4C on
the morning of the 12th this month.
