Brilliant wall to wall sunshine and crystal clear skies. Heaven.
I'm sure many have been much cooler along the east coast.

Cooler here as usual on the SW Devon coast Keith. Sea breeze kept the
max on a very sunny day to a pleasant 22.4C.
Just about perfect for my taste.

Hi Ron,
Always nice here in the summer with an easterly component to the
synoptic wind. This looks likely to return later next week after a
less settled spell on Monday and Tuesday. Depending on the strength
and direction of the synoptic wind, the sea breeze on a sunny day
arrives around 1200 BST. This means temperatures remain about 3C below
those inland, and it is a good deal cooler than the 'continental'
southeast. Much sunnier here than inland as convection develops over
Dartmoor. The only downside is just occasionally sea fog, in light
wind conditions, is brought onto the coast by the sea breeze. This
does not penetrate inland more than a mile so is not such a problem
compared with the flatter east coast.
Welcome to the Southwest where the climate is very permissive!
