I wonder if I might be rather cheeky. Mike was always so helpful with
weather forecasts and it's yet another thing I will miss.
Is anyone else willing to stick their neck out and give me an idea of what
to expect from Tues to Friday next week in Bruges? We're off on a short
break and have never been there before. I do realise this is strictly a uk
group but I know there is at least one regular poster from Belgium so
thought it was worth an ask. If no one replies, then I'll just take sun
cream AND an umbrella.
Bruges isn't very far from SE England, so the Met Office's forecast for
that region of the UK should give a fair guide:
UK Outlook for Tuesday 6 Jul 2010 to Thursday 15 Jul 2010:
Northern and western parts should remain fairly unsettled and often
windy, with rain or showers at times. Some drier and brighter weather
can also be expected though, especially to the east of high ground.
Temperatures will be generally around normal here. Elsewhere it should
be more settled with mostly fine and dry weather, although cloudier
conditions with occasional rain are also likely at times. Southeast
England may remain dry throughout, but there is a low risk of some
thundery showers towards the weekend. Temperatures are expected to be
warm or very warm. Beyond the weekend, the outlook continues similar,
with the more changeable conditions in northwestern parts and the best
of the dry, bright and warm weather towards the southeast.

Based on that, I'd say it's likely to be mainly warm and sunny, but with
a risk of thundery showers on the Friday.
Based on that I'd say its going to be warm and sunny or rain or not as
the case may be.
How much do those consultants get paid?
Don't tell me that wearing a dress and standing in the Blue Peter
Garden in the pouring rain is a job qualification. I know.
