Water shortages next summer?
Not that I keep rain fall records. On the Suffolk Coast it seems we
haven't had a lot of rain at all.
Steve, the Hadley centre stats. for the SE over last 3 months may be of
interest :-
and November until the 9th :-
England and Wales figures are available to the 15th at:
www.climate-uk.com/graphs/0411.htm and
www.climate-uk.com/graphs/200411.htm
September was below average but August and October appear to more than
make
up for it, with the totals for Aug, Sep. and Oct. standing at roughly 148%
of the average for England and Wales and 130% for the SE.
None of these national and regional figures reveal the relative
dryness of the East Anglian coast where Lowestoft collected only
55mm in October (Weybourne's 48mm looks appreciably too low
as adjacent Cromer had 74mm), Clacton 48mm, and just inland
Coltishall 73mm and Wattisham 79mm. September figures at
most of these sites was between 20 and 40mm.
