has eased to slight, but we have just had two extended 'rumbles' of
distant thunder. Presumably the cold front is poised to pass
through.
... (1215Z): no more thunder - considerably brighter to west, rain
now no more than a few spots and almost certainly about to die out
completely. Rainfall since 09Z this morning = 5.5 mm/ 3C drop in
temperature during heaviest rain.

.... (1216Z): another extended low audio frequency rumble (CC?),
lasting around 7 seconds - presumably on the frontal discontinuity
going east over Ringwood / New Forest.
