Going by ECMWF & GFE, there just doesn't seem to be an end to this

This pattern is becoming more consistent as each run passes.
Can you wave your magic wand Will, especially for the Lake District in

It's been like this all day on windward coasts in the far SW.http://www.landsendweather.info/

OK, the temperatures a tad below normal, 18-19C in most spots - *20C
on sheltered parts of the south coast, *but in the sunshine it's been
'andsome.
Damned cold when the wind got up and the sun went in though! Was on
the coast near Chichester today and while it was pleasantly warm until
about 5pm, it was quite nasty after that unless you were dressed for
autumn.
The models do seem to agree on a high-pressure interlude in a week's
time though, and it looks like it will be nice in the southwest for
the foreseeable future.
