.... Hurn almost certainly wrong. It is at least 2C above any its SYNOP
hourly data (20.6degC at 18Z), and as we had a maximum of 22.2degC in
a *highly* sheltered back garden (given yesterday's fitful sunshine we
would be roughly 2C warmer than Hurn at this time of year), I suggest
the *true* day (and 24hr) maximum for Hurn for the 11th was the 18Z
figure of 20.6degC.
