Default Cold on Sunday night - Tulloch Bridge 0.9°C minimum

Met Office have at 16.8C at 14z, 19.6C at 15z, and 15.1C at 16z

That sounds plausible. Is the topography such as to make a fohn effect
possible?

Certainly enough high ground around Eskdalemuir except to the SW.
MetO have the wind in the SSW at MAX on the hour at 15z so Foehn
effect on that limited amount of data seems unlikely.
I tend to associate Eskdalemuir with large rainfall totals.
Hopefully someone more enlightened can offer a better explanation.
