Intriguingly in the last couple of hours the temperature here has
gone from 10.8 to 12.5. The wind is very gusty now and maybe there is
some embedded warm air being dragged in from somewhere.
This prompted me to have a look at the temperature here. Max this
afternoon was 10.6C at 1810. It is now (1840) 9.0C and dropping rapidly.
I don't know the current direction of any fronts but I suspect that
this cold front is travelling in a SE direction. This means it should
be with you shortly, James.
Thanks for that Howard - the temperature peaked just shortly after that
- now down to 12.1 - a fall of 0.4 in the last half hour, and falling
more quickly as I write!
7.4C at 1910 and still falling (I make that 1.6C fall in the last half
hour here).
