Welcome back Keith LOL. No rain in my part of Devon yet, just 5.5 mm so far this
month, but I'm not complaining as it won't be too long before the Dartmoor
deluges begin.

After only recording 1.6mm of rain in the three weeks of being away, I am
pleased to anounce that I have brought the rain back from Florida with me,
as my first full day back sees 9,6mm of rain here in Southend-on-Sea, upto
10pm tonight (28th).
It merely took my Wife to hang the Disney Pancho's on the washing line for
the rain to say, " so that's where you got to", and down it came! :-)

Ironically, Florida seems to be having one of it's wettest Augusts on record
with much flooding across the State.

The Weather Channel was forcasting a colder than normal winter for the US
east coast this winter, we shall have to wait and see. Also every night at
8pm during the week, the Weather Channel was showing a new series 'Storm
Stories', ranging from Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Blizzards, on land and at sea.
I'm sure Channel 4 will snap these up in the coming months, as it contains
new footage, well I hope they do.
