That fulfils my crteria for a 10-day forecast. 10 days of unsettled,
wet and windy weather to come, at least, for most of the UK.

**At T240, on 8th October, the UK will be in a period of generally
wet, potentially windy and very unsettled weather. No real cold and
very few frosts, as the wind directions will have been S-SW for much
of the preceeding period and will be from the Atlantic on the 8th.
Winds will be strongest in the west and NW, but very few areas will
escape windy weather over the next 10 days and some areas will still
be windy on the 8th"**

We'll be hankering after summer at the start of the second week in
October. There are hints of a settling at longer distances and the
weather will shift eastwards in the end, but I wouldn't bet on it -
yet. I'd be happy about this mild outlook in January, mind!
