Interesting and there does seem to be reasonable agreement amongst the
dynamical seasonal models (NCEP, MetO and EC) for a drier than average
signal, at least in the south, but the temperature anomaly appears to be
much more uncertain. Perhaps an indication of the difficulties to come with
long periods of anticyclonic conditions, or at least anticyclonic
northwesterlies. Either way it will be interesting to see Will's thoughts on
it all in a few weeks.
