It's certainly very interesting, as this time of year must be about the
rarest for a prolonged block to occur.
There was a good one at the beginning of November in 1980. See the relevant

There were several centimetres of lying snow in the Channel Islands. According
to my weather diary from Chalfont St Giles there was moderate snow for a time
during the morning of the 7th with 1 cm on the ground at 0700.
