The 21mm of rain that has fallen in the last 24 hours was
shared equally between the long period of moderate rain
yesterday afternoon and the following heavy overnight
showers. Exactly 100mm for November so far, already
our wettest month of 2010 at this stage.

(circa 5 seconds, close-by to judge by the clarity), and looking at

most of the activity on this air-mass trough was out over the Channel.
Moderate rain between 23Z & 01Z (approx.), with short period heavy
rain about 10 minutes after the thunder noted above.
