Imagine poor old Tudor having to junp start his Trombone!

I wouldn't go anywhere near a trombone in conditions like that. Quite
apart from the mouthpiece freezing to your lips it would play dreadfully flat.
And the slide lubricant (mostly a water spray) would get a bit "stiff", shall
we say.
