An exciting night down here. Started 11:00 with a thunderstorm, very
large hail then very heavy snow. Then frequent hail/sleet/snow pellet
& snow showers.

Looking out the window at around 2:30 there was a complete cover of
snow with no grass sticking through. The snow covered the roof thick
enough to completely fill & hide the guttering. Ceratinly at least
3-4cm of lying snow.

Some sleet/rain later in the night means there is now 1-2c,m of icy
snow - still a complete cover. Easily my earliest on record.

All this happening whilst the media watched a dry Halden Hill.
