Birmingham Winterbourne had the coldest November night on record: -9.0C
compared with -8.9C set on 24th November 1904.
The Winterbourne site is currently being relocated to a new site ~200m away,
during which time we're running two sites in paralllel (with a few teaching
issues - e.g. pressure readings!). Near real-time data can be seen at
http://kermit.bham.ac.uk/~kidd/NRT2.html (for Winterbourne) and
http://kermit.bham.ac.uk/~kidd/NRT0.html for the new site.

Although temperatures were still falling at 0800hr, and I don't yet
have the definitive overnignt minimum temperature for Coventry, we
recorded a low of -8.4C at Bablake last night, and this in the
suburbs. It will be interesting to see what Wellesbourne managed out
in the country.
Neverthelss, it was the coldest November night in Coventry since 1904
(-12.8C) - back then Bablake was in the countryside!!!
