Possibly for November, but on 13th December 1981 Shawbury recorded -
25.2C. I remember that cold spell very well indeed.

Last night here it went down to - 7.2C, which was slightly colder than
Friday night. Can see the tops of Cu to the NE but it's all staying
just off the coast, I notice.
