I guess I may have equaled my coldest November day today with a
maximum of +1.1°C, as my November 23rd 1993 figure was 1°C (Did'nt
realy do tenths of degrees in those days). We have about 4" of level
snow, albiet wet and slushy. At times it fell as ice pellets which
settled on the melted stuff, if you know what I mean. Temperature
currently +0.4°C and it will take a clear sky possibly to fall below
zero here.
Provisional figures look like this being my coldest November since
1985, which is remarkable considering I recorded 18.2°C on the 4th.
Just an observation here, both those Novembers above, 1985 and 1993
coincidentally were followed by cold February's (1986 & 1994), but not
ALL cold Novembers follow this theme.
Not been good for my lawn care business, well and truly grounded
chaps!
Radar looks promising, but nothing actually coming down atm.
