I'm thinking of buying an anorak and taking up train spotting as this

past
month has been boring and depressing.

Ps: It's not been to good outside either g

Ideal weather for trainspotting, in fact.
I agree that the weather seems to have gone to sleep, at least in the

UK.
When one has to try and fire oneself up with the fact that there was

some light
drizzle in a High yesterday, things have have got fairly desperate.

Tudor,

I think you may have fallen asleep and not realised the fun and games on
the doorstep for tomorrow. Thundery rain possible near the triple point
(MetO F215 has ISOL EMBD CB to FL340, line convection ?) and a very
active, convective occlusion to follow over northern parts. However,
southern areas may not see that much precipitation due to the cold front
splitting and upper forcing moving NE. The English Channel may destabilise
this with temperatures around 13-14 degC but it doesn't look likely.
