I guess you are right about the Scandinavian and British orgin, the
Sagas are full of stories of vikings that robbed people from the
british isles, but told almost no tales of free immigrants from celtic
orgin that came before the vikings and after. Anglo-saxons we sure
are, only recent DNA studies somehow shows that perhaps the vikings
brought some indians from America to Iceland around the year 1000.
Perhaps this is only a scientific joke, but it is then a good one.
And Icelandic bankers and Irish bankers are both the same fools that
made their countries bankrupt.
