Cold perhaps, but cold rain for South and West maybe. I could happily
interpret that as "Snow increasingly confined to Northern areas as time
goes on", which is in keeping with some recent forecasts.

of the country, with a risk of overnight frost and ice continuing in
places. However, some less-cold conditions can be expected at times,
with rain rather than snow, especially in the south and west of the UK.
