Does it? "Breakfast" is hardly the top of British broadcasting. The
presenters are just general hack journalists, any knowledge of
science is accidental. They'll have arts based degrees not science
ones...

'Breakfast' is a flagship BBC programme, so I would consider it's
presenters to be pretty damn near the top of their profession.
But whether they're at the top or not isn't really the point.
That was barely 'science' knowledge, it was general knowledge,
or indeed a sad *lack* of it.
