-0.2°C here on the seafront. Slight melt and icicles readily forming.
Off to Greenwich again at 5am, just hope there aren't so many idiots
driving at speed as there were on the way back this evening. Counted 7
seperate accidents. What planet are they on?

Good point but I'm tempted to ask too, exactly what planet are the
strange people who seem to be obsessed with snow and cold weather on?

We're currently snowed in with about a foot or so of snow, plus some
mild drifting, can't see us getting out on the road to the village for a
few days yet. We are isolated, way out in the country amongst the hills,
unlike most of the bizarre (thanks to Tudor for the description) urban
snow worshippers.

Cold and snow is the pits, it causes human suffering and most evident to
me it's killing animals. I've been out all day on the hills in very deep
snow indeed, I couldn't be arsed measuring the depth because I was too
busy digging sheep out of snow drifts, most were alive but not all. Same
as the wildlife, I do what I can to feed the birds, rabbits and polecats
etc., which live round us but I suspect it isn't enough. Of course the
urban warriors haven't got a clue, their main worries seem to be the Met
Office and if it's warnings were appropriate or accurate enough for
their area.

Jees never mind all that, look out for icicles.

Must be lovely living in a village Jim in this sort of weather, but
part of course this is one of the drawer backs. It's similar to the
moaners with regards to Southend Airport expansion, the airports been
there longer than most of us, so why buy a house near it?
