Default Leaves still on trees

As I recall the leaves on a good many trees started turning brown in
late
September. I think they are only clinging to the trees now because of
the
lack of wind over the last month. We've had anticyclonic gloom since
the
end of October. October's CET was spot on average and November's
looks like
being almost the same.

.... that is the trouble with wide-area series like the CET, they don't
describe the local/regional conditions very well: here, our October 24hr
average was +0.8, and this month we are running above +1.0degC

Martin.
