... (1350Z): OAT stabilised at +0.8°C, but PPN ceased by 1315Z .. mainly
rain, but short, sharp pulses of moderate rain/snow mixed. Visibility now
good - cloud base lifting - roads very slushy/wet and drip, drip, drip off
the roofs.

... (1450Z): moderate rain now, having begun as slight ~1440Z; snow
steadily collapsing/eroding ... 'new' cover over a white board down to 2
cm (from maximum of 5 cm late morning), with OAT = +1.5°C//DP = +0.7°C.
Visibility coming down ... circa 7 km. Roads running well - Transdev 29
back to schedule but W&D37 gave up this morning and haven't been back:
re-cycling abandoned ... not going to see them now until end first week in
January!

Thats ok, my folks live at the edge of West Moors down the end of a long
bumpy lane and they hardly ever see the recycling van!
Popped over there about 1600 and it was pretty disgusting.. cold rain and
everything underfoot turning to slush. Hate it when that happens!! Think if
it had all been snow we probably would have had some 6-8 inches.
Max of 4.4c here in Bournemouth and most of the snow has gone.
