27/23Z ascent at 03882 Herstmonceux suggests a moist boundary layer with
potential instability aloft. My guess is that SSTs would easily have
broken the cap at 700hPa allowing plenty of CAPE to be released, an
interesting situation -

Any lumpiness in the imagery is easily masked by the thick Ci from the
cold front/occlusion coming S over the UK -
