Hi Matty - I love the enthusiasm of posters in that forum and I make the
odd (in both senses:-)) contribution, but web based forums are just too
slow for me. Additionally, I make enough typos here *with* a spell
checker, so goodness knows what my words would look like without such an
aid. Cue Colin:-)

Many of the more reputable organisations are forecasting a cold winter
including Brian Gaze of the Weatheroutlook. So this could be an exciting
time to join!

I can only smile at those sentences. Will sums up my feelings about such
forecasts. When, next week, there is a 130kn jet heading our way, with
possibly vicious lows over or near us, I see next week as being far from
the calm start to December I see mentioned elsewhe-)
