Continued lack of traditional mobility in the weather
Despite the recent Atlantic influence it seems months since there has
been true mobility. By this I mean successive depressions moving across
the UK and away giving the traditional sequence of wet/mild, colder
clearer showery, perhaps a sunny day then back to square one. For
example the current low left a wave front over the Midlands/North and
the South stuck in perpetual cloud and moderate to strong winds for
three days.In fact the same could almost be said of the transient highs,
with little sun and lots of cloud/drizzle.
