Default BBC NEWS | UK | Bid to beat icy road conditions

- And on Sat, 4 Dec 2004 11:37:13 +0000 (UTC), it was spake thus in said in message "Lawrence" :

That raises several questions for me.
How does "beating" an icy road help, is the heat generated from the energy
and friction that does the trick and what do they beat it with?. In
addition, surely a team of three won't be able to cover the whole country, a
wide spread frost would take some beating!
Finally I read some where that this has already been tested at BBC's West
London headquarters. This is typical of today's Politically Correct
BBC-beating around the bush!

ROTFLMAO )))))))))))))
