Default Last below average month?

Hi all,

I know there was talk of November 2004 being the first colder than average
month in terms of CET for several months, but it didn't happen, did it? When
was the last month that had a negative CET anomaly? Was it October 2003
(think it was this year that was particularly cold, but my memory's not what
it used to be!)?

If we are consistently having above average months, does this indicate that
actually the climate is warming more quickly than can be accounted for by
changing the long term mean from the 1961 - 1990 values to the 1971 - 2000
values? Probably not, as climate is measured on a longer time series than
this anyway but just wondering peoples thoughts...

Thanks,

Jeremy
