Day off so I decided to cut the grass (second cut) but watching the
BBC weather (UKMO by another name) the presenter (the one they slip in
between Carol Driftwoods mumblings) clearly showed rain for the SE *so
I put me skates on and cut the grass even though it was still wet from
with the morning dew. Now I see no rain is expected so wtf is going
on . From people who can predict AGW decades ahead its a pretty poor
show at only several hours ahead,
You know full well that predicting detail like exactly when/where/how much
it will rain in a few hours time is completely and utterly different from
predicting long-term general trends over several decades.

Actually; no he doesn't, Col. To Lawrence, there is no distinction. He
believes that the MetO is utterly crap at everything it does and it is
a part of some kind of bigger left-wing conspiracy. He knows that,
because the "Daily Telegraph" and the "Daily Mail" tell him that's the
case.- Hide quoted text -

Lawrence that's just evasive, there's no need for that and shows you
don't wish to learn. What you do is log in to those sites (ice area
and daily temps, mainly) hoping to see a short-term cooling trend and
you then use it as justification for a long-term cooling trend
starting, or a support for *******i's lone-furrow ideas about climate
beginning to cool.
You must have noticed that every time you do this, the trend soon
changes direction. That's because there is noise operating around that
warming signal. Surely you must see that? It's always good to draw
attention to extreme, short-term conditions and try to link those to
synoptics or whatever else may be happening. That's good and
interesting, but what you need to learn is that these really are short-
term affairs and they will reverse.
