'Again' I see Shoeburyness listed in the maximum temperatures today as
20.3°c. I'm beginning to wonder about the accuracy of these maximum
temperatures being reported. I recorded a maximum of 18.0°c today, which
falls in line with the metar data reported at the airport, a mere 1/2 mile
from me. My suspicions lie in the fact that Shoeburyness is nearer the coast
and more prone to sea breezes, which makes me think the location of the
sensor is picking up some external heating, sun warming a nearby object or
something. Does anyone know the site?

Keith, thisisbournemouth is currently (still) reporting Sunday's
extremes!
