good for us, but very popular with non weathery people, apparently.

And therin lies the problem.
99.99% of viewers to the forecasts aren't 'weather people'.
They don't really care about isobars, occluded fronts or
orographic rainfall.
They just want to know whether to take a brolly or the
picnic hamper.
