Note the lee vortex in the low level dust plume.

What is the predicted wind direction during the next couple of weeks? and
is it likely to disrupt flights in British air space ? I'm thinking about
the half term break at the end of the month.

Hi Don, doing some quick trajectories, I would expect some ash to reach
Scotland by Tuesday. Then stall for a while and then filter south during the
Bank Holiday weekend. However, any flight disruption will depend on ash
concentrations and altitude and also whether the volcano continues to erupt
and I have no idea about those. I'm sure official advice will come out in
due course. I hope that is helpful, but bear in mind that it is only a quick
and cursory look. This will be my last word on the subject.

Cheers,

Will
