It is remarkable how many stunning days like this there have been since
March, almost as if *to compensate for the never ending dire dull
weather of January and February.

Stunning? Well, not quite. Brilliant sunshine this morning but
now 6 oktas of cirrus of various types and a brief 22° halo. The wind
is a good force 4 and the temperature 18°C.
