Default uninspiring long range outlook

Looking at the Met Office outlook to the next 30 days suggests the weather is
set to carry on with the cool, unsettled theme. Unless there is another
weather regime flip in August this will probably go down as another mediocre
summer. Arguably much better than a serious, prolonged drought though.

I'm off to Sutherland for a walking holiday at the end of July, so hoping
(but not expecting) for some settled conditions around then.

Historically, that's not the best time for the NW Highlands:-( By quite a
margin the best months, on average, are May and June. In The NW Highlands the
July/August average rainfall is typically 30-50 percent higher than the
May/June average
