We are entering a period of Atlantic dominated weather, following
today's depression and indeed, we have been trending towards this for
over a week.
**At T240, on 22/06/2011, the UK will still be be experiencing a
period of Atlantic weather. Depressions, approaching from the west,
will bring periods of rain and showers, punctuated by calmer, warmer
weather in transient ridges. As depressions approach, it being June,
the strong sunshine will lift temperatures quickly, so 25C is not
impossible. If we are in the lee of a depression on the 22nd, it will
be decidedly cool**
I can't predict the exact weather on one day in 10 days time; that's
impossible, but there has been enough agreement and consistency to
give me 80% confidence in that forecast. Really, what I am saying, as
I said on the 5th June, for the 15th, is that there will not be hot
and sunny weather due to a block; it will be changeable, at best.
Spot on really. *85/106 80.2 correct
Can you define 'miserable' in met. terms?
I have found the weather rather pleasant recently.
Welcome rain and sun.
