A warm night here in the Otter Valley with a minimum of 17.2°C.
Nights when the temperature fails to fall below 17°C are not common here,
this being mainly due to the rural, valley location.
The warmest nights generally occur towards the end of August and early
September, when the sea is at its warmest.
The warmest night I have recorded since 2005 was on the 21st August 2010
with a minimum of 18.3°C.
Days with minimum 17°C or warmer:
2006 8 days
2007 0 days
2008 2 days
2009 1 day
2010 3 days
2011 1 day so far....
A horrible warm and sticky night here last night at +15.1C. Average is
+11.5C.
Not sure what my warmest night is but IIRC it is over 16C.
Hopefully we will be shut of this horrible tropical air later in the week as
nice cool Atlantic air returns.
Max. today a sticky 18C with 15-17C dewpoints. Moderate drizzle this morning
and thick fog soaking all surfaces.
Rain total 3mm.
