Default Otter Valley, Devon - Night warmth

I have done the Med holiday thing quite a few times, and personally I
see the reason why people go there.

Being able to eat outside all evening and always feel warm. Then (and
this is the best bit), get back at midnight to the apartment and dive in
the swimming pool (unheated) and have a good swim, then sit around in
just shorts until 2am or 3am drinking ice-cold beer. And at no point do
you feel cold, just lovely and warm.

That is something I have only ever experienced rarely in this country,
and that was when I lived in London (Summer 1995, August 1997 spring to
mind), when we used to 'break into' the outdoor swimming pool at Trent
Park, near Cockfosters. Fantastic!

And of course, I could go on about swimming for hours in seawater with a
temperature of 28°C.........and never having to get out because you feel
cold.
